  I am writing to you to say how Great God is with the following Praise Report. In August my electric bill was transferred from my mother’s name to my name. The electric company required a deposit of $345.00, and since I have no income and waiting for a Social Security hearing because I am disabled, they told me that I could get financial aid to pay the deposit.

In the following months I managed to pay the bills that were still in my mother’s name, with the help of my family and friends, but the electric company sent the checks back in the name of my mother’s estate. Since I could not cash the checks and the electric company would not apply the checks to my account, the money was just lost because the original checks were written by a third party.

To make a long story short, I received a past due bill for $1227.00 and the following month the bill went up to $1303. I called you for prayer and I prayed about it. Two weeks ago my electricity was shut off for non payment. No one could help me with that much money. So I made phone calls to all the help lines and finally about one program that might offer assistance to get my power restored. I went there for the interview but I did not think that they were going to help. While without electricity I got closer to the Lord reading the Bible during the day and praying and really crying out to the Lord.

Two days ago I called you to give you an update on my situation and we were talking about the fact that we had exhausted all of my options, you said that the Holy Spirit had just prompted you to tell me to call my State Senator. So I called him today and his office had the electric company call me back and within that phone call God intervened because not only did they say that that one program that I did not think was going to help pay my deposit, but they paid $600.00 on the bill and the electric company was going to void the checks that were made out to my mother’s estate and would be applied to my account. God not only answered my prayer by providing for my need but provided with more than enough. So in all, my electric bill is paid up to date and I also have a credit for next month as well. Isn’t God Good. Praise the Lord!! He indeed answers prayer when we just have faith.
